About FloridaTeams

One place for the Florida sports fan who follows more than one team.

The site combines original statewide sports guides with a practical live dashboard for scores and current outside reporting.

Why the site exists

The FloridaTeams.com domain was acquired in 2012 from a simple frustration: following Florida sports across several leagues meant bouncing between a long list of team sites, score pages and news sources. The original idea was a clean statewide starting point.

That idea has evolved. FloridaTeams still keeps the fast dashboard, but the site is now built around original guides that explain the state’s sports landscape — teams, regions, rivalries, venues, championships and the ways Florida’s markets overlap.

What FloridaTeams covers

The site currently follows eleven major professional franchises across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS, plus seven prominent Division I college programs. The Guides section provides original FloridaTeams coverage, while the homepage adds current score data and links to recent reporting from outside publishers.

What is original and what is external

FloridaTeams guides, comparisons and team-page commentary are created for this site. Live scores are retrieved from third-party sports data endpoints. Current headline links are discovered through Google News search feeds and open at the original publisher. FloridaTeams does not copy the linked article body.
